Security Awareness Training is an STCW-mandated course for all seafarers working on vessels subject to the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. It provides fundamental knowledge of security threats, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures to enhance maritime security.

  • All crew members without specific security duties onboard commercial vessels.

  • Duration: Typically half a day to one day.
  • Certification: STCW-compliant Security Awareness Certificate, valid indefinitely unless regulations change.
